Faculty member awarded prestigious prize

Congratulations to Dr. Sharon Ugalde for receiving the Premio Victoria Urbano de Reconocimiento Académico from the Asociación de Estudios de Género y Sexualidades for her “professional interest in literature, gender and poetry [which] has resulted in an impressive body of scholarly work including 4 single-authored books, 4 edited books, 58 refereed articles, 27 book chapters, and 30 book reviews. In addition, she has been invited to deliver 28 lectures and she has presented in 100 regional, national, and international conferences.”
