Welcome our new SPARK for German instructor team!

Our SPARK for German instructor team, graduating seniors Mara Kelly, Andrew Morgan, and Matthew Wasson, graduating seniors, is embarking on their semester-long German teaching internship. Supervised by Texas State University SPARK Lab Director Dr. Ewa Siwak, they will team-teach German language and culture to a group of ten middle school students from surrounding school districts in San Marcos, Austin, and Round Rock.

SPARK for German is a joint project of the American Association of Teachers of German (AATG) and the Goethe-Institut. It provides professional development for future German instructors and enables students across the United States to start learning German at an early age. Texas State University has been an active SPARK Lab site since Spring 2021.
