Sigma Delta Pi Chapter Beta Epsilon named one of 13 Honor Chapters in the U.S. in recognition of outstanding activities in 2023-24

Texas State University’s Chapter Beta Epsilon of the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society Sigma Delta Pi has been named one of 13 Honor Chapters in the U.S. in recognition of outstanding activities in 2023-24.

This marks the 19th time Texas State has earned the award since 1991, and the 5th consecutive year being designated an Honors Chapter since 2018.

Receiving the distinction of Honor Chapter is a testament to the dedication and involvement of our members. During the 2023-2024 academic year, chapter advisor Dr. Alexandra Perkins and members of Sigma Delta Pi organized and participated in various events, including two initiation ceremonies welcoming 17 new members, two tertulias literarias, and the annual Festival de Poesía, drawing more than 100 participants, including guest artists, presenters, and spectators.
