The French Student Association at Texas State University (Le Cercle français) is proud to once again participate in the prestigious Festival des Cultures, organized in collaboration with the French Embassy in Washington, D.C., the French Consulates in Houston, and the Villa Albertine. This year, TXST will host two special events:

Event: Poisson d’Avril – The History of France’s April Fools' Day

Hosted by Le Cercle, this event explores the origins and cultural significance of the humorous French tradition known as Poisson d’Avril.

Event: French Outside of France

This annual event highlights the diverse cultures, cuisines, and communities where French is spoken around the world—from the Caribbean and Africa to Southeast Asia and Canada.
