German and International Studies graduate awarded Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship to Germany

The Deparment of World Languages and Literatures congratulates German and International Studies major Luiza Daude Laurents, who has been awarded a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship to Germany for the 2020-2021 academic year. As an Alumni Ambassador for the Critical Language Scholarship program (CLS), Ms. Daude Laurents went to Washington, D.C. in 2019, where she and other Alumni Ambassadors met with their congressional representatives and their staff to advocate for the program. In 2018, as a CLS recipient, Ms. Daude Laurents spent two months in Kyrgyzstan learning Russian (external link).
