Spanish Undergraduate Certificates

Each Spanish certificate consists of three (3) advanced Spanish classes.

Certificate in Business Spanish: 

• SPAN 3307 or 3308
• SPAN 3311 Business Spanish I
• SPAN 3312 Business Spanish II 

Certificate in Professional Spanish: 

• SPAN 3307 or 3308
• Choose two (2) of the following:
  • SPAN 3311 OR 3312 Business Spanish
  • SPAN 3315 OR 3316 Spanish for Health Professions
  • SPAN 3314 Translation Practice and Theory
  • SPAN 3313 Spanish and Media
  • SPAN 4300 Professional Internship in Spanish  

Certificate in Spanish for Health Professions (available beginning Fall 2025): 

• SPAN 3307 or 3308
• SPAN 3315 Spanish for Health Professions I
• SPAN 3316 Spanish for Health Professions II

Certificate courses can also be applied to a Spanish major or minor.

Prerequisites for these advanced courses may be satisfied by testing out or by taking lower-division Spanish courses.
