Guidelines

Letras Hispanas accepts submissions year-round without any charges for submission or processing. All submissions must adhere to the following guidelines:

Articles must be original and unpublished

All submissions undergo the regular double-blind review process

Word document as preferred format

Times New Roman, 12-point, single or double space

Wordcount: max. 12,000 words (including Endnotes and Works Cited)

Include title, author, affiliation or university, and email address at the top of the first page

Include a 100-200 word abstract and 5-7 keywords for the article, both in English and Spanish

Use endnotes, not footnotes

If the article includes images, written permission from the copyright author is required

The citation formatting follows the MLA (8th edition) style with little modification

Submitted articles cannot be under evaluation by two journals simultaneously

 

Open Access Statement:

Letras Hispanas is a fully accessible journal, without any payment required for submission nor processing. All of the content is available after publication. Letras Hispanas retains the copyright and publishing rights of the content. The user has the right to access and use our content, with the correct citation in their bibliography.
